Friendship Fund of 84/85 Batch
Dear Colleagues
It has been decided by the members of 84/85 Batch of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna to establish Friendship Fund in order to support the members in their physically or financially difficult situations and unexpected events of their lives. This decision has been taken at the “Get Together” which held on 11 May 2012 at Bandarawela. The Friendship Fund has been established and as the first step, a financial support amounting a sum of Rs. 40,000/= has been granted to Mrs.Dhanawathi to meet the expenses of the treatments for her husband who met with an accident. This has been met with the generous contribution of our members.
It is further decided that a sum of Rs. 500/= to be credited monthly to the Friendship Fund by each member with effect from June 2012. A sum of Rs. 7300/= has already been contributed by the members who participated at the “Get Together” on 11 May 2012.
Mr. Anton Perera and Mr.Ruhunu Amarasinghe have been nominated as the coordinators of the Friendship Fund and they will do coordinate relevant activities of this Fund. A Bank Account has already been opened at the People’s Bank, Matara Branch bearing the Account No: 2-001-7-1076013. You are kindly requested to deposit monthly fee of Rs. 500/- with effect from June 2012 at the above account and inform Mr. Anton or Ruhunu via SMS for record keeping and easy management of the fund. It is appreciated if you could deposit your contributions during the first week of each month.
Your views, suggestions, proposals and active participation towards the improvement of the Friendship Fund are highly appreciated.
